The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a popular personality assessment tool developed by Katharine Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers. It is based on the psychological theories of Carl Jung and measures an individual's preferences in four areas (Extraversion (E) or Introversion (I), Sensing (S) or Intuition (N), Thinking (T) or Feeling (F), Judging (J) or Perceiving (P).
